Hi, I've already posted about a new build but I've had the chance to check out my old pc, here's the spec;

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.80Ghz
XFX N-Force 750i SLI Socket 775
4GB Corsair TwinX XMS2 DDR2 PC6400 (800Mhz)
EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX260 SSC (896mb)
320GB Seagate SATA 3GB/Sec
Corsair 550W SLI Compliant PSU
Enermex Phoenix Neo Chassis – need new
LG Dual Layer DVD Writer

It is about 4 years old so I'm not expecting much but is there any of this I could salvage/ re-use to save a few pennies? (processor & and graphics will need an upgrade for sure but I don't know about the rest?)

Thanks

Is there nothing in your original thread that can help?

You can update it without starting a new one :)

How much did you want to spend?

You could re-use the HDD, PSU, DVDRw leaving the Mobo, CPU, RAM, Case & GPU to purchase.
How old is your PSU?

In terms of what spec I'm looking for yeh, but didn't know if any of it would be compatible with anything from my old pc
Psu was bought towards the end of 09, still seems to work fine
I was looking at around 600-700 for a complete new one, so a bit less with reused bits, say 5-600 (pref 500 though)
Thanks

OK, well my honest recommendation would be to replace everything. You've got enough of a budget to go for one of the builds spec'd in your previous thread.
