Upgrade New Contract?

Hi all,

Currently on Orange (£29 a month) and have an S3 (not the original phone I got with the contract - that was an S2 which I sold and bought the S3)

I have just noticed that I am eligible for an upgrade in the middle of August and am coming to you guys to help with my options.

I am pretty set on getting the S4 as I have loved my S3.

What I am wondering is: If I upgrade on my current contract - I assume the contract renews itself? So I will be tied in for another 24 months. Will it be possible to upgrade my contract too? With Orange is it possible to switch to EE so I can get 4G?

Is my best option to upgrade or should I wait until October (which I don't really want to do) and get a new contract when the old one runs out.

I seem to remember phones4u doing something where they bought out your contract? Anyone know if they still do this?

One more thing - If I do upgrade, will I have to trade in my S3?

When your contract ends, it effectively becomes a 1 month contract. You can upgrade or leave at anytime.

My contract also ends in August. I've purchased an S4 from elsewhere and jumping to Giffgaff. I might go back on a contract if I find a good deal.
 
Thanks, my contract doesn't end until October, but I can upgrade in august.

If I upgrade in August will it still turn into a one month rolling contract or will I be tied into another 24 month contract?

when you u/g in your free term you resign another term 12/18/24, the remaining 3 months will be added on.

Waiting will make no diff once you in the last 3 months apart from time added.

No you don't have to trade in your old phone it up to you.

yes you can move on too EE when doing the u/g but you also take a 4G plan
