You can get that for £1500. That's a good setup, very good for a PC audio rig. In fact, I'd say it's too good, I would probably get a 34" Ultra Wide IPS and then have a full on gaming + home theatre PC, because with a audio system like that, using a piddly little monitor won't get full movie experience.

Unless you're really into audio, and setup a kick ass home theatre PC, where that is primary movie watching, I'd go for the £850 setup. But I'd ditch the Q Acoustics sub and get something else, like a 10" or 12" subwoofer.

Well thank you for you input, definitely giving me some food for though. I like the idea of 34" setup with nice audio system behind it. I'll have a closer look at the bits you've posted and see what I come up with, looks to be an exciting month of upgrades!

yeah defo get a bigger screen if considering proper audio system, I use a 24" 1900x1200, that's fine for gaming and dekstop, TV watching at the desk but for cinema experience I'd be looking into bigger UW.

There's the LG 34" 1080p, that's fine if you accept low PPI, it has 144hz though. Another 34" 1440p LG, but only 75hz. Samsung have a 100hz VA

You don't need to spend a lot on speakers plenty of second hand speakers around, like myself upgraded so decent speakers spare and unused.
