Upgrade Opinion

I read a few reviews on the case Billy, and in all cases <-- puns a plenty:) they stated that the rear fan was indeed an exhaust fan. I have turned it around to draw the air out, and after 2 years :eek: I have cleaned my intake fan filter for the first time. It's daytime here and my room is cooler because I haven't got my heating on. My temps as I'm priming are 45c. Last night in a heated room they where 57c (My room did not feel 10c warmer:)). I'll know for sure this evening when I put the heating back on, but at the moment it's looking like an improvement.

Update. I cleaned the intake fan filter for the 1st time in 2 years :eek:, I turned the rear intake fan around to exhaust, and I also fitted an attachment that I got with the case, that directs air away from the psu fan. The results;
Last night 3.0Ghz temps: 57c average.
Tonight 3.2Ghz, vcore increased for stability, temps 50c :D:cool:
I am made up with that, thanks again Billy for your help and suggestions you are a diamond.

You mention above that the side fan blows on the graphics card. You'll find that this is not5 the case, assuming you haven't flipped it since it left the factory. If you want to leave the rear fan as exhaust then you should flip the side fan and use it as an intake, so as to keep from drawing a vacuum inside the case.

/begins debate about positive vs. negative pressure in cases ;)

Just checked, and the additional fan above the rear exhaust fan is actually exhausting also. But as you can see the temps have dropped at least 7c and probably more compared to last evening as I am running more voltage through the cpu now :)

Like so?:
