Hey there.

Built myself a PC about 18 months ago, and i'm now looking to upgrade it for around £100-£150. I know money is tight, but have been out of the scene for a while so not sure where to proceed! Any suggestions?

Current spec:

Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H 785G Socket AM3
ATI HD 5750 512mb GDDR5
G.Skill Ripjaw 4gb (2x2gb) DDR3 PC-10666C8 1333mhz Dual Channel
OCZ Stealth Xstream II 500W PSU - 3x SATA 1x PCI-E
AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition 3.2GHz Socket AM3 6MB

My main concern is my power supply. I rather stupidly did not do my research properly and tried to save money by ordering the 500W version. However, when it arrived, I discovered that it only has a 4-pin CPU connector as opposed to an 8-pin. It also only have one 6-pin PCI-E connector.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

I know this is more than you said, but this includes a PSU. Your current one would run a 6850 without issue [it needs two 6 pin power I believe, but it'll come with an adaptor to use some molex connectors instead]

YOUR BASKET
1 x OcUK HD 6850 OC 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £99.95
1 x Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular 600W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £54.98
1 x Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9) £39.95
Total : £206.28 (includes shipping : £9.50).

8GB of RAM will also help :)
