yeah, i use powerdvd on my laptop's blu ray at the moment.

After all this I'm gonna go for get a new tv, especially with a screen that size 1080 will be a big improvement.. I use 2560x 1440 on a 27 monitor lol, I've always had high res screens

Yes mate, i'll probably do this anyway, i've had my TV for about 18 months. it is high quality. reviews at the time suggested that i would be better off getting it than 1080p tv's at a similar price!. Anyway, prices seem to have gone down a bit now so i'll get what i can for it and get a decent 1080p tv.

I was so close to getting a 3d panny plasma this year but the 3d development rate put me off lol ( hence ending up with the u2711, but yeah new screen would be my personal choice,
But then comes the greater potential for gfx upgrade lol, but the 5850 should be ok

I've had 5850 and 5870 for 1920x1200 and only crysis hurt the 5850 , one game, but should be better for you with 1080, then later get a new gfx

I'd go CF and get a SSD.

Scrap the blue ray and extra TB.
