Upgrade or new build?

No worries.

I don't think the panel is able to switch sides. Shame!

Yeah, the CPU isn't in stock yet but well worth the wait.

Im always here to help. :)

Thanks doomed just waiting for it all to come in before they ship it, makes sense seeing as im not there just now anyway :)

Regarding Windows, will my current windows 7 transfer across ok or am i going to have to buy a new licence/disc?

No worries.

WEll there a sticking point, most people say you'll need a new licence and I see why, as normally the licensee is tied to the Motherboard.

Though, I changed my motherboard about 2 years ago now and just ran the 30 days trail disc to start with. Then (one day) I entered my activiation code (I used for my previous Win 7) and it worked. :)

So as long as you can find your code, which is pretty easy, you MAY be okay. :)

Just ordering :) had a couple of thoughts/questions about the tower.

Is the clear panel able to swap sides? I only ask as my desk only has left sided space for a tower so the clear portion will be hidden :( Also where can I get some lights to illuminate the inside (is this easy and reasonable to do?) If I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it properly :p

Dave

If you put the window panel on the other side, all the messy cables would be on view.

The i3's aren't bad CPU's at all, even now. My mate has an i3 530 at 4.4GHz with a GTX660 and it is all good. Hyperthreaded as well, so 4 threads of 4.4GHz Clarkdale power.

New GPU and 4GB more RAM would be my chosen course. :)

Thanks all for the input :) looks like a new desk may be in order :p

I'll try the windows code and see how it works :)

It was ok-ish the pc but was getting slower and slower and throwing up various slow speed warnings and asking me to reduce resolution due to poor performance etc.

I thought about buying new HDD and a disc drive and then ust flogging the old one but not sure id get much interest where i live :)
