Upgrade or not to upgrade a little help please

Hi everyone a few questions

I was thinking of going into crossfire and giving my pc that extra little kick because I was thinking of buying a few more screens. I am running a 4870x2 2gb card, will I be able to run a single 4870 in crossfire alongside my 4870x2 card to give me 3 GPU's?

if this is possible will my 850 watt PSU handle the load?

Rampage Extreme 2
i7920
6gb ram 1600mhz
2x 640GB HDD's in raid 0
850 watt PSU
single 4870x2 2GB Card

What resolution do you play on? What brand is the PSU? Is the CPU overclocked?

I am running 1920x1200, my CPU is stock 2.66GHZ and my PSU is Thermal take Tough Power 850watt.

Getting an extra 4870 1gb will add a few extra frame rates. PSU is fine but your CPU will hold everything back. Try clock it up to 3.2ghz+, you should see a significant boost.

if i oc my cpu to 3ghz and buy a 4870 will the PSU handle it

Remove the competitor's link, they're not allowed.

It will work fine with the 4870x2. Your PSU will be fine.
EDIT: Just a question, what cooler do you have on the CPU?
