Upgrade or start again?

Hi all,

Everything arrived today and I spent the evening building it. It all comes apart from the screen. I tried to remove the graphic card and put the vision through the mother board and the screen and no change. Would you be able to help?

Most common reason for a blank screen (with the machine booting and all the fans running), is missing one of the power connectors on the motherboard.

I'd try a different output too, e.g. hdmi instead of DP.

Hi,

I woke up early this morning to look at it again, I moved everything around like the system fan from SYS_FAN5 to SYS_FAN1 and different screen and no luck. I tried to look to upload some photos from my phone but could not find the button.

Using the Boot indicator LEDs on the motherboard, what do they tell you?

It’ll say light up and show an error with something like GPU/RAM/CPU/ etc

Hi all,

I rebuild the whole PC and now the screen is showing! Yay. I now get 'MSI click Bios 5'. I done a bios update and enable my Old. Hard disk (Samsung SSD 850) in addition it picks up my new SSD but that one is empty. I want to load the old one as that has Windows on it. Any ideas?

Do you mean, install Windows on the empty drive and then read from the second drive to recover files, OR load Windows directly from the old drive?

Thank you all for your help. I think I sloved it. I changed from UEFI to CSM boot. Loaded the old disk, downloaded the last remaining files and a copy of Windows 10 and 11, shut and unplug the hard disk, change to UEFI install Windows 10 on the new hard disk, activate it, and now currently installing Windows 11 then i have to do my games, photos and other software.
