I'm a bit wary about buying used CPUs gpus etc, especially if they had previously been used for mining etc.
Can't imagine many people use CPUs for mining as they only make about 10p a day after electric.

Also on MM people are generally happy to assist with warranty should the CPU fail prematurely.

Thanks tammzy! I wasn't sure a b450 would have been compatible with the Ryzen 7 CPU? Although that's probably due to my lack of familiarity with Ryzen era CPUs and compatible motherboards.

Although I still think the Ryzen 7 3700x processor will be best "bang for buck" for me, since I don't do gaming on the system.

So perhaps this would be a good enough build for my needs, especially as I could probably do with a newer bigger drive for my /home partition. I can't really go much above £550 all in.My OS is currently on an SSD.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £470.46 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Decisions, decisions. I certainly think it'll be a good upgrade from my current system!
