Hi. My partner has just bought an new gaming PC and we've realised that the RAM doesn't meet some of the requirements to play a lot of the games he wants to play. I have read up online about the RAM slots and the majority of the PC's I have seen have four slots while ours have 2. On the specifications of our PC it says that the RAM is 8GB but it also states that the maximum installable RAM is 32GB. Does this mean that we can upgrade the RAM up to 32GB?

By the way the PC we have is the **Competitor**.
Sorry if this seems like a really stupid question both me and my partner have no idea what we are doing when it comes to computer upgrades. :)

It looks like you’ve bought the PC from an Overclockers competitor so their name is blocked. Check the specification, it should state how much RAM it has and if it’s a 1x8GB stick or 2x4GB. This will then guide you. And us.

Jodie, typically people ask for advice before they buy. I hope this is a valuable lesson you've learnt.

If you can take a picture or the ram I'm sure we can recommend you a 2x 8gb kit (for 16gb) or a 2x 16gb kit.

Download cpu-z and run it then tell us what mobo cpu and ram you have and can then advise easier.

The ram linked above will most likely be what you need but is best to be certian before you make another mistake.
