Thinking of revamping my pc with a new build in time for windows 10

Currently on core 2 duo 6320 @1.86ghz.

System only used for light web surfing, occasional gaming (sim city, football manager), and occasional photo/video editing.

Thinking of getting z97 board and coupling that with either a overclocked G3258 , I3 4160 (similar performance to oc g3258 without high power usage)or go all out on a i5 4690k.

Or should I wait for the new range of cpu n boards with the ddr4 memory?

it will be new board + cpu + graphics

I have 8gb of ddr3 1600mhz vengeance ram sitting boxed....so could use that if required.

Is DDR4 not quite expensive?
What sort of cost base would I be looking at with the new skylake chip for chip board n ram?

Read a few reviews on the Pentium chip and think it would be underpowered for my purposes...so striking that off my list.
Also thinking the skylake might be a bit over budget for my purposes as my desktop gets used less and less these days.

so i3 + H81 board

or

i5 + z97 board

yeah I am probably gonna wait a little and that way future proof myself for a few years more with skylake and the new socket.
