Hi guys

Currently looking at a new upgrade.

Current system is

cpu
i7 4770K @ 4.3
Cpu Cooler
Corsair H115i
mobo
Gigabyte G1 Sniper 5
GFX
EVGA 980Ti Hybrid
CASE
Corsair 540
Ram
16Gb G-skill 2400hz DDR3
Storage
2x Samsung evo 120gb (Raid0)
1x Samsung evo 500GB
Audio
Creative Sound blaster Ti
Monitor
27'' Dell G-sync 27 1440p
PSU
EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750 Watt Modular

Now I think I only really need CPU, Mobo and Ram

Also I'd like to maybe go to a smaller case, this 540 is a beast! as my case sits on my desk something smaller would be better, Any input would be great guys
I think I've managed to list everything.

Thanks

Is this mainly for gaming?

Unless your experiencing problems/slowdowns i would hold off upgrading as you still have a very respectable spec - and that 4770K should be holding its own within games, especially clocked.

In April Ryzen are expected to release their updated CPUs - bettter clock speeds and this may be better time to consider upgrading. More choice and INTEL's 8600/8700K may react with price drops. The Meltdown/Spectre debacle may be fully decipherable too...

That looks like a very reasonable system already!

As above is it giving you trouble in certain games?

Is your monitor 144hz?

It's not really struggling to be honest, It's more downsizing to a smaller case, The Dans case V2 has my eye! But I know I'd have to replace motherboard etc and if that's the case I'd just move over to DDR4 and do the lot really.
I'd like to stick with Intel as well..

Makes sense - what about a smaller midi-case as it would be considerably cheaper?

Or do you want a micro system/size?

Just watched a YouTube clip on the Dan case - that is one small unit.

If you're only considering INTEL - which CPU are you leaning towards - 8700k?

that case is amazing! weather it would fit my GFX and my CPU AIO I don't know.. and yeah I'd like the latest intel.

Yes, this was my concern - you may need a regular air cooled card. I suspect they have dedicated forums - i would try a post.

Gigabyte do a reasonably priced and well specced mini-ITX z370. You would need to enquire about the best cooler for the case - and the 3600MHz may not work straight off but it's only £10 more than the 3200MHz:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £777.97 (includes shipping: £0.00)

Yeah it would be something like this, However I'd need a better motherboard with better sound, As I'll be loosing my sound card going into a Mini-ITX build

I hit 5ghz and 4000hz on the board and using 8 Packs ram - seems z370n supports 4400hz and Strix supports 4333hz which are both insane!

Gigabyte ITX has the better Audio then its Asus strix counter part , by quite a bit if your using expensive headsets

asrock Fatality has audio to match Gigabyte but nly one m.1 compare to the above 2 - which is really odd for ASrock

cant help but feel Z370 Gaming 5 ITX and Asus ROG Impact will come out but may wait for next chipset...
