Hi all

Ive got the opportunity to upgrade the core of my pc (mobo/gfx/cpu and ram).

Wondering whats the best "bang for my buck" stuff to get hold of, not insterested in oc'ing it just want good performance at stock.

Currently running

Mobo - ASUS A8N-SLI
CPU - AMD 3800X2
GFX - 7800GT
RAM - 2gb Corsair DDR400

Any help would be appreciated.

What is your budget here? Is there anything that your system currently does not do that you want it to? Because at the moment any change you make will almost certainly require to change all the major components(CPU, motherboard and Ram) and depending on the PSU you have that might also need upgraded.

Currently no budget assigned really, talking maybe £500ish

as for psu its currently a Hiper Type - R 540 fella, so I think that will do the trick.

Was thinking of going from a 3800 to a 4400 or a 4200 and maybe an ati x1900 price dependant of course.

Ideally you need 2gb of ram, especially if u want better graphics. Afa comparison goes. At stock the 6300 should outperform a 4400 x2 and overclocked should be able to beat an fx62.
