Wanting to upgrade in February time and have two builds I'm considering as below. All other things are covered as I'm keeping them from the old.

Will be used for gaming, watching dvd's, internet browsing etc.

Wondering which build would be better for the things I do, obviously the AMD solution is cheaper than the Intel but is the performance of an i5 over the X4 a big difference

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5850 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
(£199.99) £229.99

Iiyama ProLite E2407HDSD 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor
£159.99 (£139.12)

Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156) - Retail
£149.99 (£130.43)

Asus P7P55D LE Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
£99.99 (£86.95

Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9)
£82.98 (£72.16)

I would go for either; for gaming they will both be GPU limited. Come February there may be another dark horse on the horizon and maybe if we are really lucky the lesser spotted fermi may surface!

I believe the i5 will be slightly better performance wise.
