Hi guys,

Brother has just handed me a load of cash saying he wants to upgrade.

Got the following stuff from his current system:

8Gb RAM
GTX 460 OC
DVD Drive
2 HDDs

This is what I've come up with:

PSU: Umm I've no idea tbh, and the mobo I dunno either

Only requirement is Haswell and ATX case really, any help is much appreciated cheers!!

Going by the CPU and the MB, he won't be overclocking, so the after market cooler isn't really necessary.

the 460 could do with an upgrade if he plays the latest games.

at least something like a 7850, but if he can stretch to it, a 670s and 7950s are a good buy at the moment.

Yea the "old" system is a a i5 760 system, so it's only a couple years old.

All the drives are sata, and the RAM is all DDR3, 4 sticks of 2Gb iirc

No he won't be overclocking but his room is like an oven and I included that HSF as a precaution more than anything else.

I've said to him about the gfx but he's pretty set on just a cpu upgrade for now, his main game is league of legends.
Once he has this system up and running I can get the old stuff sold and put it toward a newer card I guess.

So is the motherboard ok or is there anything better or cheaper?

And will that psu supply enough juice, especially if he were to upgrade graphics in the future?

I didn't think about space for the HSF at all :/ Don't have to worry in my ancient Akasa Eclipse lol

How does everything else look? Need to spend a litle more on a PSU or is Corsair still a good brand?
