Upgrade.. switching back to ATI?

What do you think?
Solely a gaming PC (particularly interested in getting max FPS in Starcraft 2, although this should easily do that?)

Probably pretty good for what you want, though basically the same system with a Q6600 overclocks better to ensure the best performance. (crossfire is done propperly on x38 x48 and p45 chips)

What resoultion are you going to be playing at too?

crossfire will run perfectly fine on that board as it's a 790chip which can support crossfire X, thou only 2 of the slots will run at 16, whereas the other will only run at 4

push for a black edition phenom 9850 if you can

Thanks for the advice chaps - its ordered now - as I posted.

I was already pushing my budget, so I didn't want to up the CPU :-\

My current gaming box is 6600GT, AMD64 4000, 1.5GB DDR2 (400mhz fsb?)
so I think whatever I get I will be happy with the performance improvement, :-)
