Upgrade thoughts?

OK, seen as how im a tad disappointed with the 6990', thought i might as well blow some cash anyway and this is about my limit. Figured I would get a bundle and a 6950 and flash the bios. Then at a later date get in another 6950 (or by then probably a 6970) for crossfire. Upgrading from the spec in sig. Im a bit concerned about everything fitting into my Antec 300? will have to do some research.

Any thoughts, suggestions before i press the buy button?

Looks fine, it'll fit in your case, however if you don't have too many HDDs, you might want to consider removing the HDD cage and using adapters for your 5.25" bays, gives you a lot more room at the bottom.

Other than the 6950 being massive overkill for your monitor, nothing much to say.

Thanks for the comments - ive got a couple of SSDs so thats a great idea Redmint.

But now youve put some thoughts in my head! Would the card be able to run three of these for mid-table gaming - mmos and FPS mostly?

Theyre relatively cheapo, bringing the total to about £1150. I'd be willing to take the huge amount of flak from the mrs so i could sit there and cackle all night long in eyefinity.

Lol, I wouldn't expect particularly good frames per sec using a single card in eyefinity, should be fine with CF especially if you're going to unlock the cards.
