Well my franken laptop is pretty much on its way out and looking for a new build, As you can imagine using this laptop since 2018 I'm somewhat out of the loop haha.

Laptop Spec is: ASUS FX5404GM
i7-8750H, 32GB RAM, 1TB Evo Pro, 1060 6Gb so at this point I think pretty much anything is gonna be an upgrade.

I really don't want a massive hulking black box sat on me desk so would like a smaller white case.
Screens already sorted, 2x 32" curved and I would like to game at 1440p

Looking around the goto seems to be a 7800X3D and a 5070Ti or 9070XT
Think I'm Gonna Grab a 4TB 990 Evo Plus and not worry about storage for a while.

Case: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lancool-217-infinity-white-cas-lia-06169.html (or the mesh one if stock is delayed)
CPU Cooler: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-...ce-all-in-one-cpu-cooler-3-coo-msi-03869.html

I would prefer an all white build but I'm not averse to just chucking it all in a non windowed white case tbh as long as its not hulking massive Massive case.
The cooler I've gone with above seems a solid little AIO for the money

I am a bit lost with RAM and PSU tbh

RAM I was looking at: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cruc...0mhz-dual-channel-kit-whit-mem-cru-03115.html
But does the C36 hamper its performance?

PSU I was looking at 1000w and modular but other than that not a scooby

As for GFX , who's best for GFX warranties these days?

Not interested in OCing really just want summit I can setup and leave as I have done with this laptop and simply have it work.

Is gaming the most demanding task you do ?

Why don't you go matx case as well there loads that can fit big gpus and 360mm aio even a 240mm aio is more than enough for a 9800x3d.

Examples

Rams fine. And 1000w covers you for future upgrades i

ooh I thoudht I'd struggle with a proper size GFX and an AIO in a mATX, I'll have a neb.

Aye gaming will be the most it's pushed tbh

Black Friday mite see the best to grab a GPU , not sure if your in the know but mite get a heads up on GPU prices at Overclockers.

9070xt offers great value but the 5070ti has dls4 and multi frame gen so if ther close on price personally would lean to the 5070ti.

Check what games your playing to see if they perform better with AMD or Nvidia GPU.
