im thinking about adding a Zalman VGA waterblock (ZM-GWB3) to cool the HD2600Pro (so there is no heat coming off it into the case). Does anyone know if the waterblock is compatible with the HD2600 Pro?
An online PSU calculator will tell you your new setup will consume 343W and that's when the CPU is oced to 3.2Ghz 1.45V. And we all know that online calculator over-exaggerates and the actual wattage used as measured by a socket wattage meter will be a lot lower. The decision is yours but I'm just saying the Tagan 480W is more than enough.
Also surely getting a waterblock for GFX defeats the point of going for a passive card? How about getting a motherboard with integrated graphics instead of having to buy a separate one only to spend some more on a waterblock to cool it? Like the G33M-DS2R which is very popular and overclocks well. There's a PCI-E slot as well so you can always add-in a GFX should you feel the need to.
Some would think so but watercooling it eliminate the need for a case fan running at low RPM just blowing a little air over it. Plus, WC it would totally remove the heat coming from the GPU and therefore keeping the case temp down......
I could go for a higher end GPU and watercool that instead. Maybe a X1950....?
