I do game with this at 1920x1200 so I'm looking for a general upgrade at ~£300-400 max (preferably as low as possible)

I'm thinking to buy this bundle and upgrade to a 4890 when I get a little more money. Good idea, or shall I go straight to the 4890 and buy a better cooler & RAM and OC the E6300?
Might be a good time to up the PSU too, it hasn't blown yet but I'm not sure how well it'd cope with more powerful kit. :p

hmm lots of choices mate are u the sort of person that spends a few hundread here and there on his pc or upgrades it as and when if u answer ill spec u something depending on the conditions

how about a you get a PhenomII system and the 4890?

I spend a few hundred here and there to upgrade (last upgrade was RAM + 8800GT).

jak731, would that AM3 processor be okay in the AM2+ motherboard you specced?

Alright, I'll go with that path ignoring the 4890 for now, I'll see how I cope without it and go for a smaller upgrade.
