Upgrade time :) Suggestions

Probably not worth it but if you don't want to go projector maybe change the screen for a newer model (50 inch V10?) or one of the last Pioneers if you can still get hold of them?

Cheers for the comments guys.

Heres what I am proposing:

New Amp + Power Amp < Suggestions as i dont know much in this area
Kef IQ9 fronts and IQ60c centre
New Sub (BK Gemini MK2?)

A few points if I may.
I dont see the point of upgrading the iq5se's to the iq9, the iq9s have more base but if your using your sub for the base in your music and movies then whats the point?
I have an iq60c and its massive, Iam not sure where you would put it? New rack maybe?
I would recommend a new sub, I have just got a second hand svs sb12+ for £220 and compared to my old sub it kicks ass, its mutch less boomy and you can feel the base rather than hearing it.:D
If you watch a lot of films then you cannot beat a projector, well worth the setup up time and hassle.

I very much doubt there will be any difference between the mk1 and mk2. More of a sidestep. Become a man and get a monolith :D

You will eventually have to jump to the processor + power amp route, but that will involve new speakers too :p

You mean get some balls and install a projector and screen.:D

This is an Upgrade and well worth the money and time.

Throwing more money at your current Kit before you get the visuals sorted is ludicrous dude!!!!:D

Surely not :p

Do them both at the same time :D

Biggest upgrades you will get are (no specific order):

1.) 1080p projector, E.g. a nice Panasonic or JVC 350. If budget doesn't allow then get something a bit cheaper. Keep the tv obviously as day to day tv use, with projector for games/films.
2.) Remote screen to drop down infront of the tv if possible (shift the tv further back onto the rack)
3.) BK MONOLITH. At £450 delivered you won't get better, and it honestly makes the gemini sound like a sub for dust mites! You will feel your clothes and insides move with the LFE from this baby.

Everything else is fine in your setup :D

How they can justify £60 for a fnacy USB cable is beyond me.

Saying that I need a small cheap HDMI lead for a bedroom TV > DVD player, went in to a highstreet shop and can't believe they were charging from £40 to £120 for one.

Will have to order one off t'internet for a fiver.

That usb cable transfers stuff 'In Fine Style'. Well worth £60, the complete retards !!!!!!!:p

Try cheap supermarkets if they are encountered on your travels, most should do a HDMI cable for a fiver. Most shops are ridiculous though, waiting to discuss it one day with a spotty sales kid if I am ever in there browsing :D
