Hello,

After using this PC for 2/3 years I've decided it's time to upgrade, I've came to the decision that i should try the C2D, I've always been an AMD man.. but I'm willing to give the C2D chip ago.

Heres the PC that i have picked (Comments greatly appreciated) My Budget is £500

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.66GHz (1333FSB) - £125.71
Gigabyte GA_P35C_DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 & DDR3 Motherboard - £82.24
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C5 800MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit - £64.61
Tagan TG580-U15 580W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU - £82.24 inc VAT
Samsung SH-S203BEBN 20x20 DVD±RW Dual Layer Serial - £19.96
Samsung SpinPoint T HD160HJ 160GB SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM - £32.89
Thermaltake VA7000BWA Shark Aluminium Full Tower - £82.24

Which comes to - £489.89

Thats all i need, i don't need a Graphics card as i have a Geforce BFG 7950 512mb, which is plenty enough for the games i play now, i am planning on upgrading to an 8800 or something along those lines at a later date.

My targets for this PC is to play games on high settings games like.. BF2, CSS, BF2142.

Welcome to the forums, that all looks pretty good to me, no obvious improvements within the budget. I'm not 100% sure about how good the case is for cooling so you may wish to have a look in the Case Central sub-forum to see if there are any further comments on it - unfortunately search is out of commission for the moment though. :)

Thank you for the welcome, I have already taken a look at the reviews on the case, people say that it's a nice case for keeping things cool, but i never thought of looking at case central, thanks again for the help. :)
