Upgrade time

well i would like to make my mind up by 9:00 sunday to order or not to order.

£15 extra aint a problem if its worth it in the long run. How much better is that card compared to my 280gtx?

Well its up to you, you may not notice it, but remeber the gtx295 draws a lot of power, and has no dx11 support. SLI also works on a game by game profile, so some games may not be able to use both cores, and that would cause the game to act like it was on a GTX 260 (gtx295 is 2xgtx260 cores)

+1 to the 5870, no contest, you get a card that can challenge the 295, with dx11, lower power consumption, lower temperatures, eyefinity.

What's not to like?

Don't worry about waiting for something new just around the corner, there's always something due out soon. Just buy the best card you can afford which at the moment is the 5870 or 2 X 5770 vapor-x for £254. Duck's for cover from the anti-crossfire brigade.;)

Think i would like to stick to the single card option so it looks like a 5870.
Questions:
1) Club3D are they alright?

2) I havent had a ATI card since my x1900XT, how are their drivers now?

3) out of interest when does the vapour x versions come in from saphire?

Right no messing around after a lengthy chat with a certain member ive narrowed it down to the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5870 its slightly over my budget but well who cares:p

So yes or no?

well even if he waits he wont be getting them for £300 no where near that i think... and yes the club3d are good they are an old school company.

and the 5870 can be overclocked to be faster then the 295 not to mention its single gpu.
