Upgrade Time

Looking forward the 8320 makes more sense.

I really don't want to start a massive debate/argument again because we been down that road many times...

But i disagree with this.. The best way to pick a CPU is to see what performs better in the game your playing (are out) now..

No-one really know what the future hold so its best to stick to fact..

My opinion is the i5.

Game developers do know what's coming, and they say parallel execution, that's ideally suited to 8 threads, and the 8320/50 over the i5.

Thanks for the replys all..

Lots of information to take in, but im guessing the overriding message is.

MORE MONIES :D

I think im going to save up and go all out.

Is it still cheaper to buy parts and build or have pre-built systems come down in price.

OR should he get a £500 1200w just to be 100%

I'm not going to comment fully on this as your just being a plank now. You gets your cheapy PSU and you takes your chances.

Why not just get an i7 as it's "better"...

but you dont need to over clock out of the box do you.

..oh yeah this is overclockers forums but why would you want to do that!
