Hello all. It's time for me to upgrade my computer again, don't really need to, just fancy a change.

I have a GTX 780 (Might buy another to SLi it) so wont need a GPU, and my memory is fine with 16GB @ PC3-19200C10 2400MHz. Going to upgrade my CPU from the 2500k to the 4670k (Unless someone can recommend something better?). Is anyone able to recommend a decent motherboard to match up with the above along with a new modular PSU.

also looking to buy a new case, liking the look of the corsair 750D, anyone else have this and like it?

Budget wise, meeeh not sure, up to £600 I guess for the CPU + cooler, mobo and PSU.

Many thanks :)

Swapping from a 2500K to a 4670K isn't worth it, is your 2500K overclocked?

Do you have a SSD?

What`s the rest of your spec?

If you are looking for a Cpu upgrade, second hand 3770K would be my choice and cheaper.

Yeh, my 2500k is currently at 4.60GHz and has been happy as pie there for years.

And yes, I have an SSD with my OS loaded on it.

I will believe you guys when you say its not worth it :D, I just fancied a few upgrades to pass the time over Christmas :D

Mobo: Gigabyte Z68AP-D3, mobo is ok, but I was looking for something a little more.....aesthetically pleasing ^^
SSD: Crucial RealSSD M4 60GB & 240 GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB
Cooling: Antec Kúhler H2O
Rest is already mentioned.

A new case it a must, its just way to cramped in my current case.

Nice big case and an 850W Psu, if you decide on Sli 780. I`ve included 2 "B" grade mobo`s you can choose between, But check with OCUK CS, as to the condition and as to what is missing, I/O back plate for instance.

I can't in good conscience recommend the 750d, its a nice case and all but the flaws spoil it for me. corsair are apparently releasing a revised model but that's meant to sort the compatibility of the case with the asus maximus vi formula, if they also sort out the other issues then I would recommend it as long as you get the new revision(if they don't then I wouldn't). if you want to know my bug bears with the case have a look at the thread in the latest news section.

if you want sli compatibility then change the motherboard and include a 750w+ psu, e.g

what's your current psu? I can't seem to see it mentioned in the op or the more specs post.

Anyone able to recommend a decent Motherboard since I should be keeping my 2500k? :)

Think I might re-color my interior since I am upgrading the case, something red and black would be nice (However not THAT important) ^^
