Upgrade to DVI?

As i don't want to poen another thread up what is better for a pc dvi or hdmi?

I'm using an HDMI cable and tbh (imo) it isn't any different from my DVI cable, desktop image-wise. It did solve a minor issue I was having in games with image flickering but I think that could be down to all manner of things.

HDMI carries both the image and audio, which can be handy if you need that sort of thing and have the necessary hardware.

If you're happy with your DVI connection and have no need for the audio aspect then I'd stick with DVI.

If you’re thinking of trying an HDMI cable then my only advice would be to try and get a decent quality one. You don’t need to go mad, just one which looks to have a decent build quality, probably in the region of a tenner or so, which is about what mine cost for a 5m length.

Don't have another cable or another monitor with DVI.

You could always buy a cable from a shop to test with, depending on what the results are you can either keep the cable or take it back.

Which one did you decide to go with then?

DVi, because since the GPU is DVi it would be best, don't have to faf about with silly adaptors then.

And the fact it's digital :p, although if I HAD to use VGA It would not bother me as I see no difference.

I haven't really been able to tell the difference between vga and dvi. I think it comes down to the monitor quality and the resolution. Now that I'm on a larger widescreen the difference would probably be more noticable if I went back to vga.
