I am currently using a h77 mini itx build with a i5 3330 cpu
Now i want to go to matx so i need to get a new motherboard
I could get a h77 motherboard but is it worth it?
Or shall i get rid of the i5 3330 and h77
And go to haswell?
I dont have an intention to overclock (yet) and i only play at 1080p on my tv, so is the upgrade worth it?

id only upgrade if you plan on overclocking tbh

you wouldn't see any real world gains unless you went for a z97 board and a k series cpu to match

k series chips are 4ghz out of the box

If you want to fiddle a bit you can hunt a used Z77 motherboard on eBay or somewhere else and overclock your chip 400MHz above the turbo frequency. Should not require any voltage, etc. and probably will be absolutely all right with the box cooler. It depends on how much you can get from your current motherboard and for how much you can find a decent Z77 one. If it's more than £20-30 I don't think it's worth it.

i have found a good Z77 but unfortunately my i5 is not a K processor so i couldnt overclock it
