Windows 8 is naff....I had a whirl with it on beta and it's rubbish. I think I'll stick to Win 7 Ultimate

Eh, last time when Windows 7 was released nearly every PC or laptop you bought around a month or less before release would get a free upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista. Unless this offer applies to normal windows 7 licences bought it's nothing special.
And I'm pretty sure you can revert the Windows 8 to look like the standard windows layout like Windows 7, and from what I'm hearing it's pretty damn fast.

Great offer, and this needs balancing out a bit.
Windows8 is fantastic and offers many many features over windows 7. It's a bit of a learning curve. But basically what people are disliking is you've gone from a small text list start menu to a full screen icon live tile start menu.
It's not hard and it's not obtrusive or useless. It is far easier to use the new start menu and the desktop works just as well, with added benefits like snap screen.

If Windows 8 cost £0.01 to upgrade, I won't buying it because it rubbish! I wait for Windows 9 !
