Hey all, well I am going to have to finally bite the bullet. My i5 3570K is pretty darn good but the motherboard (z77 ds3h) is giving me all sorts of headaches, especially with the USB 3.0 ports and trying to get another socket 1155 motherboard is futile. Adding in a pcie card gives me a bsod so I feel really hesitant to plug a new CV1 in there, especially as my DK2 mysteriously died a couple of months ago.
So having thought long and hard about whether to go z170 or x99, ive decided on the x99 route. Will be salvaging my trusty power supply (750w Akasa) and a 970. Any thoughts appreciated, especially on that cooler...
