upgrade ??? what to get???

ive currently got an opteron 165 @2.6 and 8800gt and looking to upgrade cpu+motherboard+memory and eventually my gpu.

ive been looking at the AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition 2.8GHz and was wondering what sort of overclock i could get out of this cpu and what board and memory i need to get?

my budget is around the £200 mark for cpu+board+memory.

atm my only problem with socket 3 cpus is the ddr3, too expensive and the only 4gig packages go over £40+

im not really botherd about multicore as i only really use my pc for gaming and ive heard 4 cores dont really do much more for gaming than 2 cores so that is not an issue.

What should i be looking at for a gaming cpu that will overclock well and that i'll see an increase in performance?

i will be getting a new gpu soon (within the next 2-3 months) and was hoping to et either the 285 gtx or the 4890hd, which is the better?

just had a look at the AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 550 3.10GHz Black Edition (Socket AM3) and seen it can overclock to 3.5 on stock volts and was wondering what motherboard i would get with this cpu? plus what memory?

any if u want ddr2 get a am2+ lboard ike a Asus M4A78 AMD 770 . if u want ddr3 get a am3 board like a Asus M4A77TD Pro AMD 770

cheers. ive wittled it down to 2 different setups and can either get am2+ or am3 for around the same price but will it be worth upgrading from what ive got allready? opty 165 @2.6
