Ive just ordered:

GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX21GB6400UDC)

Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - Retail

Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

This is to go with my new Gainward 8800 GTX. I was thinking my old setup was holding it back. Will i see a huge difference or not?

Yeah I was planning on overclocking the **** out of it thats why i got the Gigabyte board instead of the cheapest MSI board.

Was just wondering about whether I should have gone for a nforce board instead as ive heard that the 8800gtx will talk to each other and get a speed gain?!

It automatically OCs the PCI-E bus by 25% - you can do this manually though.

Also, I agree as above - save up for 2GB. I'd get 2GB and a GTS over 1GB and a GTX.

edit: oops, you already have the GTX. Still save for 2GB.

No last month i could only afford 1gb. this month I could just afford another gig. So Im running 4 x 512mb.
