upgrade?

new to all this,but think i need to start upgradeing my pc

spec:

A2n sli delux board
cpu 3500
ram 2gb
2x6600gt cards
psu bfg 1000w
2x80g hd on raid

dont have a lot to spend so was going to start with graphics card 8800gt,but was wondering was i wasting money due to mybe my cpu.

any advise would be welcome

will be slightly limited by the processor, but its still worth the upgrade, you'll notice the difference over what you currently have.

take it the update is for gaming, if so what sort of games you running at the moment.

Mainly mohaa but like cod4 also, but kinda choppy with my current config as you would prob expect :-)

8800gt should sort you're problems then, processor isnt too bad and you have 2gb of ram.

what size monitor/res do you game on ?

using a iiyama pro 510 crt 22" [monster of a thing] but i bought a iiyama 22^ lcd ws was a nice monitor but its native res was not matching any res options for mohaa so it stretched to fit,could not live with that so returned it,was fine for cod4 but my rig could not coupe with the higher res,i can only get 800/600 low settings at the moment

soooooo which 8800gt card to go for mmmm bfg or ,o my to many to chose from,any suggestions?
