Upgrade??

Well i would reccommend a 4850 i use a 18.5" screen(got it as a gift didnt want to say know .. i might just magically break in a few months) its a 1360x768 and the 3870 handels most my games fine.

i found a nice 20" samsung SM2043NW for £109 on a competitors site, but thought the money would have been better spent on a new graphics card.

Well get a new screen if you want one only problem is you get a new screen.. you need a new GPU ... you need a new PSU.

Even a 4850 at load draws a fair bit of power and with the OP's overclock I could see him running into problems concerning stability with his current psu.

Problem is there is hardly any point upgrading your present video card on the resolution you play at the moment. I'd go for a new monitor maybe one of the new 22"/23" 1080p ones and another 2gb of ram, and then start saving for a new psu, video card and vista 64 bit.

Well crack on and get a GTX 260 but don't say we didn't tell you so when it starts crashing all over the place :p

I have a friend in the same sort of position as you he brought a 4870 for a 1024x768 screen with a 350W PSU he plays Far Cry 2 it crashes so he play it on high down from v.high gets passed the bit it crahed on goes back to v.high few months later his card broke and i got to say "I told you so" dont get a 260 without a new psu it will proberly break.

Radeon 4850 should be fine on that PSU, mine has 15amp and 14amp on it's 12v rails, the OP's (according to OCZ's website) has 17amp and 14amp on it's 12v rails.
Depends on the quality of the PSU of course but it's not a generic or anything.
