Upgrade

I've been trying for around 2 months now :( finally put my GPU into my brothers pc to see if it does anything, if not I still don't know what could be wrong with my pc ;(
 
Seen your post in graphics, hopefully this should give a rough indication on what could be the issue.
 
Gah shall I just buy this plug and play bundle RJC is it worth messing around with my computer i've been trying to fix it for 2 months (no progress)
 
You could see how the GPU in gets in the other pc and then perhaps look at buying the 2500k system if you find it works ok.

With the memory it wil be a trade off, the front side bus is overclocked, but this would only knock a small amount off the CPU speed.
 
Ah right ok i've got 1648mhz running and 3.6ghz, ram was quite hot when I removed the card I touched it too see :D, with the plug and play kit will the ram be at 1600mhz with the CPU overclock or will it be like my current system? :D
 
The ram will be at 1600 MHz, the Sandy Bridge K series cpu's like the AMD 955 have a unlocked multiplier so you just increase this and on the SB setup you leave the BCLK @ 100mhz (Intels version of Front side bus) then increas the memory multiplier to 16.
