Budget and any preference for nv/amd. Id also remove the part about pm'ing regarding interest in the 770. All sales talk is only permitted in members market.:)

Would have been nice if that was a 4gb card, then I would have said sli.

I would opt for a custom 290 from amd. A highly clockable one if possible or maybe classified 780 from evga.

Classy does seem to be the best clocking 780. I went for a gigabyte wf, unfortunately it's not a golden example. However i wouldnt touch an evga product again due to a very shoddy step up program experience.

Ill go 780 classy and probably get another 1 as soon as i can afford it, or do i wait for maxwell, will it be that much of a performance boost

The 770 will do the trick for the moment. Be sensible and wait for an actual decent performance increase with the next gen 20nm cards.

It is only worth upgrading if you feel your games are not running how you would want them to.

If you do upgrade there are a lot of top cards around at the moment, like the GTX 780, non ref 290 and 290X and GTX 780ti. All of these cards are within about 15% of each other performance wise.

If you want to go for a two card setup 2 x 290P non ref

or 2 x GTX 780 would allow you to run nearly all games at max settings @1440p.

I'd suggest saving your money and waiting for Maxwell, that's what I am doing instead of buying another 780 - my hopes are high that the performance of the GTX-880 will be great.

Also, you shouldn't have to wait too long for Maxwell - there's speculation that this new series of cards will start to be released Q1 2014. For now, stick with your 770 - you won't be able to max everything out with it at 1440p, of course, but you'll only have to turn things down a bit whilst you wait for the next Nvidia GPUs to hit the stores.

And when the GTX800 series comes out the next series will be just round the corner. However sting that I would agree only upgrade if you feel you not happy with your current performance
