I'm currently running a MSI GTX 560 1GB and wanting to upgrade for around £150

What would fit me best to see a GOOD difference in performance and be worth spending £150 also i'm an nVidia fan boy so only nVidia cards :p

I have a GTX660 which is what you will be looking at in your price range but the R9 270X is a better card.

It might be worth waiting until the rumoured R9 280 is launched though - it will probably drive down GTX760 prices.

the 750ti is released real soon
meant to be faster than the 660 atleast

Even the most optimistic leak pegs it slower on average than a GTX660. I remember seeing a Nvidia slide showing the GTX660 as being pitched a bit above the GTX750TI.

With a 128 bit memory controller,it makes me wonder whether with AA applied how the GTX750TI will perform.

oh my bad then :(

Really? That's pretty bad.

For that budget and if must stick with Nvidia, 2nd hand GTX670 is probably the only sensible choice.

Second hand 670 if you can find one. If not, 270.
Or if you're willing to go to £200 a 760 wouldn't be a bad choice.

Possibly looking at a GTX 760, i know it's around the £200 mark but it should keep me happy for a while :) hopefully will run Titanfall nicely!

GTX760 is rather poor bang for bucks for a £200 card, and it's slower than a GTX670 (which you can get 2nd hand for around £150 or less).

Also, if Titanfall is what you want to play, you'd probably better off trying to find a 2nd hand GTX780 at under £300...it would be far better money well spent than buying a GTX760 at £200.

Really? nVidia really do like to confuse people don't they! i'll have a look to see what GTX780 i can get

Or if you can't find a 2nd hand GTX780 for that lower than £300, then you'd probably should look at a GTX770 as well (but the GTX780 is around 30% faster if comparing both cards overclocked, that's why "personally" I'd try to find a cheap 2nd hand GTX780 3GB than a new GTX770 2GB at around £250, also not to mention that 2GB vram might really struggle in a year's time).

In a real dilemma now, i honestly have no idea what to do, do i wait a while until the GTX780's drop or do i convert to the dark side and get a AMD card, would 2GB vram be not good enough in a years time would you say?

Theres no dark side :) buy from what ever vendor has the cheapest features in a similar card on the day you want to buy it IMO
great deals atm on non reference 290s

329.99 is a better deal new than a 300 2nd hand 780

Regardless of whether or not 2GB would still be enough in a year's time, the extra grunt of GTX780 or the 290 alone (30-35% over the GTX770) I would dare say it would last (at least) 1 more year than a GTX770, so it's well worth paying the extra (if you can manage it financially that is).
