Tbh I don't think the GTX 760 is that bad of a card, I have one and it fits in between the 270X and the 280X quiet nicely performance and price-wise. Good card for the price imo

With that much money in hand I would probably wait a bit and go for some premium 770.
Or get a 760 if you are in a hurry.
My friend just bought evga 760 in order to play Elder scrolls online and sais that its a good card.
But other guy I know have a 270x and sais the same, so it is just a matter of personal preference.

The problem is that there's a GTX770 which is essentially a turbo charged GTX680 at <£250, while the GTX760 is asking for £210, which is not even a GTX670 rebadge, but was even further cut down.

If the GTX760 was at £170-£180, then yea it would be a good card to go for; at £210+, it is not.

I can push to £300 if needed and it's not taking a lot of convincing to get a GTX 780 due to the increase of performance, i just don't want to be buying another graphics card again within the next year or so. Throw me some sweet GTX 780's on here that you would recommend for £300

Have you got an SSD ? Why not go for a 770 and then with the rest buy a 128gb ssd ?

unless you need /want the features from Nvidia go for a 320 quid non refference 290
and no i'm not a AMD fanboy gtx 780 in this rig :) but tbh i dont see a 80 quid difference

Would you definitely not go for amd ? I have just bought the msi R9270x 4gb card off overclockers, got it for £170 for the same reason , titanfall :) .. Played the beta maxed out solid 60fps, and that's only because It was capped and I didn't know how to lift the cap ! :( would definitely highly recommend it :)

Also it says in the options to play with the texture details on the insane setting you need 3gb gpu .. Although I don't think there's much difference between high and insane :)

bumpy, just need to know if i'm getting something extra for £20 or not
You can get some extra for £20 less:

Extra 1GB vram, higher memory bus size and bandwidth, generally quicker if comparing both this and the GTX770 overclocked. The only downside is no PhysX support, but you get Mantle instead (despite not quite fully working at the moment since it's still in Beta) :p

But obviously, if you want to pay the extra for a equal/lesser card (GTX770), then it's your choice.
