theres no worthwhile upgrade under £250 for a factory overclocked 280x like yours imo, just stick with it untill next year imo

+1

The 280X overclocked to around 1200MHz gives about the same performance as a 970/390 judging by the results I get with my 7950. For sub-£250 your best bet is to crossfire it to get better than 980 level performance until the new gen cards come out next year.

Depends on how you overclocked your CPU. If you added a ton of FSB then faster memory will work better but if you just upped the multi and volts 1600 will do.

I would then get a 390. Don't worry about it being overkill you can just run it using VSR to achieve a higher res if you're on a 1080p monitor.
