Bought Evolve, runs pretty badly (~20 fps and choppy) on my PC. So time for an upgrade!

My current system is:

GA-990XA-UD3 mobo
8gb ram
AMD phenom II X6 1090T ~3.2ghz
Crossfired Radeon HD 6800 gfx
Good size SSD
Excellent PSU
Great case (big)

How much would it cost, and what parts should I be looking at upgrading to bring this into a solid gaming PC again?

I'm hoping I can just get a new gfx card and CPU, but looks like my mobo is dated now for new CPU's.

This card looks like a good choice:

GeForce GTX 760 £200

But not sure on mobo/cpu

This is MUCH better way to spend £200.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Powercolor Radeon R9 290 PCS+ OC 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £199.99
Total : £209.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

That out-does the GTX 770 (GTX770 = 280X) in terms of Nvidia.

No reason to 'upgrade' your CPU. I'd push the OC to 3.8-4.0 if i were you though, just for some extra power. Even upgrading to a 8350 wouldn't give you any GREAT increase in performance. I feel the GPU will though. :)

OK ya'll convinced me, ordered will arrive Friday :) Can't wait to try it out!

"750W or greater PSU required", I got a BeQuiet Purepower L7 730W, am I going to be OK or am I risking damaging something?

Your PSU will be fine. The '750w or greater' is them covering themselves. You'd able to run your rig off a 550/650w easily, so 730W won't break a sweat.
