well primarily gaming, but I do intend to do photo rendering and may be doing some video encoding etc. (thus i7 and not i5)

Well i have the m-power board and i love it, looks great overclocks like a champ (4.8GHz on a 3570k), have a look at this memory http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-020-AR&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517 goes perfectly with the board.
