I have an old Windows 10 USB somewhere if I can find it will it work with a new motherboard? I think a usb stick can be made from the microsoft website for 11 but I really don't want to pay £100 for a licence.

if your windows 10 licence is tied to your microsoft account it will automatically activate the new windows install in your new computer, both on windows 10 and 11.
