"Upgrading" 8800 GTS.

Ah that's excellent, ultra settings in the games you mentioned with that amount of FPS is more than enough to stream fluently with no FPS issues the things i stream :D
That's awesome, thanks :D Just have to wait for the guy to reply now, im the highest bidder with less than a day to go, nervous =P

Definitely am after reading many reviews the super over clocked one scores really high on benchmarks compared to it's rivals (It even beats the 650 Ti) this would also spell the end to a ten year reign of Nvidia on my systems

It's rare to find a good deal on ebay with graphics cards unfortunately - a lot of them are even listed for higher than you'd pay new from online retailers.

Something will come up. Be sure to check various tech sites for people selling stuff, it's usually where the best deals are.

Why are you even thinking of buying a new component in your financial position? I would sell the computer if I could barely scrape £30 together. Sort your finances out

Depends how old he is really, but thats a bit of a personal question to ask. I'm 18, currently job-hunting (yay :() and I know plenty of people my age with less than £30 to their name, in-fact I have a mate who's 22 and he barely has a tenner.

But if OP you are living in your own place, rely on your job, and can barely scrape £30 together, you seriously need to sort things out and don't even think about buying a new GPU!

It's a luxury rather than a necessity, my position is fine. I just put a price on whether or not it could be done with what i have in my PayPal. That sum didn't necessarily reflect my financial standings in terms of being able to afford one or not and whether buying one would cripple my finances. Yes i could go out and buy what i originally wanted from the beginning, spend £300+ on a card without the bat of an eye lash but then i would be left to think whether it was necessary or not, could i have just used what i have in my PayPal to make a substantial upgrade to an old piece of hardware enough to notice a considerable difference.
To sum it up, my point is why spend upwards of what i have in my PayPal if there is an upgrade to hand within the boundaries of my PayPal and something that doesn't further require more to get the full potential from it i.e replacing the i3 and the like.
Furthermore, i don't think age has any regard to situations you cannot predict in terms of handling finances. Perhaps age would provide you with a better understanding of your finances and how to manage them, but unfortunately cannot predict your employment status from tomorrow and onward.

You don't have to justify yourself, or how you spend your money. You asked for help deciding what to get, not on how to live your life, the rest is nobody else's business.
