It's been a few years since purchasing the above and it's time I was thinking about an upgrade. I'm frequently running out of space and don't want to run the beastie till it fails or starts to corrupt my data.
My current drive has 128mb cache and manages around 170Mb/s r/w. New drives such as the "8TB RED PRO 7200RPM 256MB CACHE INTERNAL NAS HARD DRIVE (8003FFBX)" has a larger cache, capacity and slightly higher quoted throughput of 235Mb/s. Reliablity is crucial and a little more speed would be nice yet doubt SATA3 would give me much more than my current drive ?.
Thoughts ?
