I like those cards but what I was thinking was buying another xfx 6850 and putting them in crossfire, or would i get more gaming performance from getting a 7950 ???

Is it possible to put a 6850 and 7850 in crossfire ?

I would go for the 7950 over another 6850, you'g get more VRAM and better performance in games. Not sure if you can xfire those 2.

I'm sure others will let you know. Personally, I'd upgrade.

One stable more powerful card is better than 2 lower cards in xfire.

7950 if you can afford it will be best way forward and im assuming would destroy 6850 in crossfire if they are applicable cards for crossfire. 7850 is so much better than a 6850 never mind a 7950!

IMo 7950 is best bang for buck card out there and cant go wrong

the gigabyte one snips advised is great, if its too much this HIS ICEQ is another good card

What is the cooling like on a card like this? I'd expect it to be poor, not sure why. Doesn't look like anything special!

I think it's because I had issues with enclosed cards with coolers like that in the past. I'm sure the're perfect, times & technology changes.

Thanks for the advice, I'm not sure if I want to spend that much on a new gpu but I'll definitely have a think about it.

We can spec you a new build if you want to give us your budget and what compenents you need as well as what you're reusing.

cooling is great, my friend has this card after i advised him to get it when it was on sale. has some great heatpipes which look the business but at the back end is just one huge fan and a vent where the ports are, it just spits out all heat through this vent. and is really silent. Its called IceQ for a reason ^^

i would assume youd easily clock the card to 1200mhz core if you wanted?

I don't think i'm really looking for a new build, just some upgrades. Can anyone think of a good card that is around £150, maybe up to £200 ???
