Upgrading again!

Got the bug to upgrade again, however, I currently have a I5 2500k at around 4ghz, is it even worth upgrading that cpu if its just for gaming? i was looking at the I5 4690k but will i see much improvement? Should i just upgrade other parts, IE more ssd's etc?
 
I have an i5 2500k, and it's still damn rapid in my opinion. The new CPUs have not moved on much since this chip. If you think an extra 15/20% of performance is worth it to you then go for it by all means.

I'll be sticking with my 2500k for a couple of years yet though :)
 
I have a 290 vapor-x. So dont think that needs changing anytime soon. Was literally just thinking CPU, 2 more SSD's, i have 128gb crucial one for my OS, but i thought of getting another or 2 for games. 8GB of ram is morer than enough isnt it? Then maybe a new case also to get my build tidier as its a bit of a mess! Pretty much simialr spec to yours Ivan is what i have at the moment except of course a 290.
 
well im sure if you really want to upgrade you can get a more recent I5 processor and stuff in 16GB of ram.

GPU is fine.
 
I plan to get a bigger SSD as well mate like you. with recent game downloads being 30gb (FARCRY 4) my little 128gb is full up.
 
Thanks for the answers all. Just never know when is right to upgrade CPU! Guess mine is fine for the time being!! Will deffo invest in another SSD!
