Hey guys. I thought i would ask here in the advice section instead of case/motherbaord area.

I currenty have a Corsair Obsidian Series 250D Mini ITX PC Case and after having a change around im looking at getting a Phanteks Eclipse P400 Air DRGB Midi Tower.

Now because i have a mini itx case im currently running with a mini itx motherbaod. The phanteks can take my mini itx so thats not a problem but im just wondering will i see any benefit from upgrading from a mini itx board to say a E-ATX, ATX ? or does an ITX board run just as good ? My itx board only has 2 Ram slots but that doesnt bother me as i could get 2 16gb rams if i decided to upgrade them in the future.

Probably not anything in it no. Could potentially see a 2-3 FPS improvement in games for slightly better VRMs. But nothing worth splurging on a new MB for imo.

I imagine you’re looking at upgrading your actual PC components anyway soon, if you’re going to a standard ATX case? Not much point replacing your mobo if you’re gonna be upgrading anyway.

It is especially pointless if it's for the system in your sig, cos you might as well just upgrade the entire thing.

Sorry guys i should have said I upgraded everything last year currently running

3700x
Msi B450i Gaming Plus Mini Itx
1070 (upgrading this to a 3000s card)
16gb 3200 Corsair

Probably should update my sig lol

Im looking for better air flow as my gpu is running in the high 70s and my case is pretty compact so it only has fans from the h100i
