Upgrading CPU/MOBO/RAM to stop bottlenecking 1080TI

For streaming I would go for the 8700K. For RAM, well, it doesn't make that much difference so I would go for either a 3000 or 3200. Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 is good value right now. As for a motherboard I would go for the Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Ultra Gaming 2.0

ok I assume now you saying all the new boards are going to have beefier VRMs based on the assumption the next chips will be 8 core parts so better VRMs accross the board.

That logic is sound although I would be surprised if non OC boards still have better VRMs than boards like the asrock fatality k6/taichi.

There is also this rerelease of their z370 from gigabyte, sort of like evga had to on their 970 gpus, they got embarrassed by their lacklustre offerings and released a revised product, the h370 probably reflects that as well I think. The h370 is apparently equal VRM to their first z370 although I cannot find much info, is there a buildzoid analysis of it?

this says their h370 is a 8+2 VRM, so better than gigabytes lackluster original z370 but not better than asrock z370.

Depends on how you look at it, H370 boards have either more or equal VRM then their budget Z370, better IR units and better heatsinks .
Aorus h370 to Z370 Aorus 7, the H370 has a newer MOSFET which allows it to run cooler, there for less need for a lot of them to spread the power/heatload .

Asus and Aorus flagship X470 use the same new IR model then Taichi which is 14+2 Vs 10+2 of the others. Asus and Aorus do use different controllers , but Taichi and Aorus use the same controller
So it's vendor using newer/better VRM but at a lower count .
Those 3 boards are interesting as you've got parts which is used by some but different mixture .

Normally Gigabyte Gaming 9/SoC are the boards with the highest amount of VRMs on any board, 22 on z170 series ... Don't think we'll see that commercially and if z390 Aorus 9.. don't think the VRM count will be any higher - just better
