upgrading cpu. should i change mobo as well?

A couple of general rules in Intel chips:
Z series motherboards are overclockers (i.e. Z370, Z270, Z170, Z97, Z87, Z77, Z68)
H series, like yours, are pretty similar to the Z series but with multiplier overclocking disabled. The same is true for B motherboards.
Processors ending in K are multiplier unlocked, which is the principle requirement in modern overclocking. Processors without the K are usually very similar, but have a locked multiplier. This means that a K CPU should be used on a Z motherboard, and a non-K CPU shouldn't. Likewise, a K CPU on a H motherboard is a waste of money.
