Hi there,

So I have a copy of Vista - 32bit Business Edition - downloaded from MSDNAA a couple of weeks ago.

Really liking it, but I'd prefer 64bit Home Premium, so that I can use the Media Center function and maximise my 64bit processor.

Now, I've heard that you can upgrade Vista from one version to another, and they just send you a new product key. I've found the option in control panel to do this, but it just asks me to select a company (MS, Dell etc) and then, whatever I click on, asks for a username and password...

Can I actually change to Home Premium without paying full retail/OEM price?

Thanks in advance

It'll be an upgrade and you can get the licence from the Anytime Upgrade Site soon to go live. However, for the price you may as well buy an OEM copy of Home Premium.

So to answer your question: No.

And I doubt that Business -> Home Premium is a valid Upgrade path. You'd probably only be able to go to Ultimate from there.
